Fresh ideas and expert insight for the tomato business
Innovation and inspiration are at the heart of Global Tomato Congress, a brand new one-day event for the international tomato business set to take place in Rotterdam on 26 November 2019.
Organised by Fruitnet, this new event features the same high-energy, multimedia format as the group’s best-selling Global Berry Congress. With the perfect mix of conference, expo and networking, Global Tomato Congress brings together leading buyers, innovative suppliers and a broad selection of industry experts to learn about future trends in the fresh tomato business.
Engineering new growth in the tomato category is on the agenda at the brand new event for the global business later this year.
“Three stages, more than 40 speakers, and round-the-clock networking refreshments and a pop-up expo made of companies working the tomato sector. It takes place from 8am until 8pm for one day only (Tuesday 26th November)fit into people’s busy work and travel schedules,” explained Mike Knowles.
“We were asked a decade and more ago by British Summer Fruits to organise the Global Berry Congress which has now morphed into an annual event that this year attracted some 600 people from 50 countries to Rotterdam in March” said Chris White. “Now we want to do the same for the tomato business. We’re using the same format and the same venue in Rotterdam for our Global Tomato Congress with the focus for this first event to include issues such as new ways with growing the category at food retail, branding, sustainability, and so on.
”Almost 600 business leaders from 50 countries around the world now come to the Global Berry Congress every year. Contact us to find out how you can be a part of our new event, the Global Tomato Congress!
